Antique rustic continental pine bed, made in Eastern Europe in the 1920s probably. It's a wide single really, not necessarily a child's bed though it's a bit shorter than standard. Nice decorative carving round the top of the headboard. The side pieces slot into the ends and are quite deep. Condition is only fair: it could all do with a good clean with sugar soap; it has a lot of old woodworm damage, though not too much of structural significance and it's not live as far as I can tell. Doesn't hurt to treat it anyway, but we haven't. Three of the joints are quite tight and even need knocking in with a wooden mallet, but one of the headboard ones is damaged and a bit loose (see pics); I haven't even tried screwing it up or dowelling it yet because I'm selling this as a project for some other lucky individual..I think this can be made into a great piece. Otherwise I'll convert it into a bench but meantime it's cheap! Dimensions: 182cm x 117cm x 166cm high: mattress size 178cm (168cm at edges) x 111cm
